Job Title: Head of Cloud Operations

Henderson Scott UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Cloud Operations to lead our cloud engineering team in creating and supporting an integrated suite of operational tools.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting cloud infrastructure services, as well as managing enterprise systems environments, including installing packages and automating systems functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy an integrated suite of operational tools to manage capacity, performance, availability, and cost of production services.
  • Develop processes and toolsets needed to support audit and compliance needs of applications.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support and manage a team of cloud engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust solutions.
  • Communicate ideas openly and transparently, and have strong independent and collaborative problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS).
  • Ability to guide more junior team members.
  • Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and IP networking, including routing, DNS, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
  • Ability to think horizontally and work collaboratively to solve problems.
