Job Title: Automotive Engineering Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Engineering Specialist to join our client's Central Services team on a 6-month contract with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate will have a certified level 2 trade qualification in Vehicle Mechanic studies and at least two years of experience working in a trade role.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Inspecting, servicing, modifying, maintaining, and repairing Client Vehicles and supporting equipment to ensure they meet manufacturers' specifications.
  • Completing all associated documentation, both written and electronic, to maintain a 24-hour availability of vehicles.
  • Assisting other trades within Fleet & Engineering services where their skill set is applicable.

Additional requirements include conducting PSV/MOT inspections, repairing bodywork, and carrying out welding repairs using various techniques. The successful candidate will also be responsible for hydraulic repairs and possess a strong understanding of electrical and electronic circuits.

In terms of qualifications and skills, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent record-keeping and communication skills, as well as a strong customer focus. Competence in Windows and Microsoft applications, as well as Management Information Systems, is also essential.
