About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead our brand-new CQC registered service in Maryport, supporting adults with learning disabilities. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and ensure the competence of your team through observation, assessment, coaching, and directing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of support workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Recruit and line manage a new team of support workers, working alongside our Occupational Therapist to undertake assessments and develop care plans.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including the Fundamental Standard Regulations.
  • Collaborate with external professionals, customers, and their families to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
  • Embed a culture of strong communication, reflective practice, and open, fair, and transparent leadership.
Requirements
  • Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Have previous experience as a Registered Manager in learning disabilities services, with a good understanding of relevant regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Be able to talk confidently about supporting adults who lack capacity in the context of the Mental Capacity Act, the Court of Protection, and Best Interests decision making.
  • Have experience working in partnership and strong inter-agency links within health and social care.
  • Be able to lead, encourage, and deliver an open, fair, transparent, supportive, and challenging culture at all levels.
