Lancashire Constabulary's Scientific Support Department is seeking a highly skilled Forensic Examiner to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maximising the effectiveness of forensic submissions by commissioning and coordinating forensic work requests, evaluating submissions, and negotiating estimates from external Forensic Service Providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and assessing forensic submissions to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Evaluating and authorising estimates from external Forensic Service Providers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Developing examination strategies that consider best evidence, value for money, and evidential outcomes.
- Providing scientific advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to provide scientific advice for a wide range of disciplines, and the capability to maintain accurate computerised records involving financial information and performance data.
This is a challenging role that requires a broad spectrum of responsibilities, and the post holder will be required to multi-task and manage their workload effectively.
