About the Role

This is a remote-based opportunity for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the demands of the wider business while maintaining best practice standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scoping, planning, documenting, and implementing technologies as required to the highest standards.
  • Delivering customer and stakeholder management to all those with an interest in any works undertaken.
  • Researching solutions through internal and external knowledge bases as needed.
  • Liaising with business, vendors, and other IT personnel for the progression of change works.
  • Escalating issues with accurate documentation to suitable technical experts or vendors when required.
  • Creating knowledge articles for project solutions to be used for future support.
  • Providing suggestions for continual improvement.
  • Service-related focus with the ability to place yourself in the position of the customer to understand their concerns and issues.
Requirements
  • 3rd line support experience and managing support tickets that have been escalated to the infrastructure team.
  • Knowledge and experience of cloud-based technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in using 3rd party migration tools.
  • Ability to analyze infrastructure, highlighting areas of risk and putting forward suggestions for system improvements.
  • General network and infrastructure monitoring knowledge, Meraki and Cisco experience would be advantageous along with any networking certification.
  • Storage platform and data migration experience.
