Relief Worker Night Shift

As a Relief Worker Night Shift at Riverside, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality, customer-oriented service to our customers. You will work under the direction of the scheme manager and support team to assist in providing care and support to customers, maintaining and promoting their dignity, and improving their health and wellbeing in a safe and appropriate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of personalized support and move-on plans
- Understand the risk management process and assist the team in organizing and undertaking regular reviews of support and risk
- Inspire and motivate customers to meet agreed outcomes and develop life skills
- Assist customers with day-to-day support and tenancy-related matters
- Assist the team in identifying and promoting opportunities for employment, education, and training and support customers to access them
- Signpost customers to appropriate external support services
- Support customers to be 'tenancy ready', enabling successful move on
- Support customers to be financially independent through budgeting plans and maximizing income
- Support and monitor customers' healthcare needs, ensuring appropriate contact with healthcare professionals
- Empower customers to move towards self-management of their medication
- Maintain and update clear, accurate, and strengths-based records
- Assist in the promotion of customer involvement and consultation
- Assist with the delivery of group work sessions
Deliver a Support Service:
- Support the delivery of the referral process for new customers
- Contribute to the delivery of a housing management service, including income collection and providing customers with tenancy-related support
- Work with customers to maintain a safe environment, including reporting any repairs or health and safety concerns
- Resolve difficult and challenging situations in a sensitive and informed way
- Ensure customer safety by following local safeguarding procedures
- Contribute to and maintain local partnerships to ensure availability of a holistic range of support for customers
- Carry out day-to-day administration and operational duties
About You:
We are looking for someone with experience of working with people from various backgrounds and sectors of society, compassion, patience, and empathy. You will also need a strong customer focus, excellent communication skills, flexibility to cover shifts, and a positive attitude. Knowledge of the barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups and individuals with complex needs is also essential.
