About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Dorset HealthCare. As a Community Mental Health Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

As a Community Mental Health Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing individual and group therapy sessions to clients with mental health needs.
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop effective interventions.
  • Providing education and support to clients and their families on mental health issues and recovery strategies.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement service plans.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of working with mental health patients and delivering therapeutic interventions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English.
