**Senior Associate or VP - Energy Team**

At Alan Mitchell, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate or VP to join our esteemed Energy team in London. This exceptional individual will play a pivotal role in delivering top-tier financial advisory services to our esteemed clients in the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sectors.

The successful candidate will participate in deal teams for private and public equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, valuations, and other forms of financial advisory work. Additionally, they will be responsible for managing transactions and analysts within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support engagement teams in equity and debt financing, sell-side, buy-side and general advisory M&A engagements within the Energy sector team
  • Oversee due diligence and lead preparation of offering documentation and materials
  • Assist in the execution of public equity and debt financing transactions, working closely with senior investment bankers
  • Perform valuation analyses using various methodologies, including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading comparables and transaction comparables
  • Develop detailed financial models to evaluate performance under different operating scenarios and analyze the impacts of different capital structures and potential M&A transactions
  • Prepare presentation materials for client meetings, covering strategic alternatives, capital markets activity and general corporate finance
  • Participate in all stages of transaction executions, from the pitch phase through to closing
  • Produce high-quality reports and gather data and research to support client needs

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in investment banking, preferably within an IB sector team - Energy or related - or M&A execution team or accounting firm's transaction services team
  • Strong knowledge of the Energy sector (Oil & Gas or Renewables) or related areas
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical and communication skills
  • Deep understanding of financial statements and valuation techniques
  • Experience with financial modelling (DCF, merger models) is highly desirable
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and adapt to changing situations
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with a good understanding of financial data sources (Capital IQ and Bloomberg)
