Job Description:

A leading developer of Scientific Instrumentation is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to join their team in Cheshire. As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough functionality testing of sub-assemblies and systems
  • Factory sign-off, procedures components and systems build
  • Authoring technical operator manuals
  • Supporting customers through technical guidance and troubleshooting
  • Traveling to customer sites for commissioning and user training
  • Developing and implementing technical procedures and coordinating with other staff
  • Ensuring quality control throughout all test tasks
  • Utilizing electrical schematics and 3D models/drawings

Requirements:

  • Education to Degree or Masters level in a Science or Engineering discipline
  • Previous work experience in a customer support, test, lab support or equipment support role
  • Preference given to those with experience working with Scientific Instruments or Vacuum Systems
  • Eligibility to work and live in the UK, and travel freely in the EU without restrictions
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • Ability to travel and stay away from home when necessary
