We are seeking a highly skilled Private Client Solicitor to join our team at Liberty Towers.
Job Summary:
As a Private Client Solicitor, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate planning, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, and inheritance tax planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Private Client Work: Manage a caseload of private client matters, including drafting and reviewing legal documents, providing high-quality legal advice, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
- Client Relationships: Maintain and build strong client relationships, providing excellent customer service and working collaboratively with colleagues to provide a comprehensive service to clients.
- Administration: Assist with the administration of estates, including obtaining grants of probate and dealing with HMRC inheritance tax issues.
- Business Development: Contribute to business development activities within the firm, including attending client meetings and working with colleagues to identify new business opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales
- Experience in private client work, gained during training or post-qualification
- Strong drafting and organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- A client-focused approach with the ability to provide compassionate and tailored advice
- Familiarity with the use of case management systems and a willingness to adopt new technology
Desirable:
- STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) qualification or working towards STEP accreditation
- Knowledge of tax planning and trust administration
- Experience in contentious probate matters
