Project Coordinator
Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs, and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.
As a Project Coordinator, you will play an integral role in supporting the Global Communications department by managing the acquisition of content, processing data, and coordinating with freelancers. This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with regional teams and programme coordinators to acquire necessary raw content for various projects.
- Analyse and process large volumes of raw content and data to identify appropriate storylines and ensure accuracy and relevance for reports and case stories.
- Develop detailed briefs for freelancers, outlining project requirements, deadlines, and expected deliverables. Manage the workflow between the organisation and freelancers, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, maintaining project documentation, and tracking project progress.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Global Communications department, freelancers, and clients, ensuring smooth collaboration and addressing any issues that arise.
- Stay informed about current events and ensure that content is relevant and timely, particularly for reactive content related to emergencies and humanitarian crises.
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing, PR, and Programme Leads teams to align content and ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
- Review and ensure the quality of content produced by freelancers, providing feedback and requesting revisions as necessary.
Requirements:
- Ideal degree-educated in a relevant field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in administration/communications.
- MS Office Suite.
- Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Additional languages, such as Arabic, are desirable.
