The Role

Purpose:

The Business Development team plays a pivotal role in driving our business' expansion, revenue generation, and overall sales success. As a Strategic Partnership Development Director, you will be responsible for discussing the FT Commercial portfolio, analysing market trends, the competitive landscape, and identifying potential sectors and clients for growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify new organisations and key decision-makers to establish long-term business relationships with the FT.
  • Nurture strong connections within various client sectors.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a team, representing the FT Commercial entities when necessary.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in business development, particularly with multi-year, high-value partnerships primarily at C-Suite levels.
  • Establish efficient internal communication channels using CRM and Slack for effective collaboration.
  • Propose thematic projects with content teams and editorial experts for multi-year activations with values exceeding £750,000.
  • Post-Sale:
    • Closely collaborate with Creative Strategists, Program Directors, and Key Account sales teams to establish the account management and project delivery team.
    • After contract finalisation, the Global Partnership Team's direct client engagement is minimised.

Salary and Location

As a Strategic Partnership Development Director, you can expect a salary ranging from £80,000 to £120,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications. The position is based in London, UK.
