Volunteer Mentor for Resettlement Support

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Communities and Education Division as a Volunteer Mentor for Resettlement Support.
In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting staff to deliver positive impact through projects that address various needs of participants (predominantly men over 18 years). Your commitment will help minimize the risk of reoffending and support individuals on their journey towards creating healthier relationships by assisting them in accessing essential services and engaging with their local community.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and listening skills, be able to maintain professional boundaries, and demonstrate positive behavior as a role model. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
- Mental health awareness
- Substance misuse
- Providing practical and emotional support
- Encouraging engagement with appointments
- Supporting filling in forms
- Helping participants access resources
- Reporting any issues related to participant behavior
- Engaging in regular supervision sessions
- Completing feedback notes within 48 hours
- Actively promoting Seetec's values
- Lone working and maintaining safety procedures
- Volunteering in a non-discriminatory manner
