Spectrum is a leading company in the offshore renewable energy sector, and we are seeking an experienced Senior Geophysicist to lead our field teams and acquire geophysical data.

Job Overview

The Senior Geophysicist will be responsible for leading offshore surveys, maintaining communication with the office, and building client relationships. The role also involves project managing survey projects, assisting in data acquisition, and maintaining quality and consistency of field data.

Requirements

  • Degree in Geology, Geophysics, or related marine or earth science
  • At least 3 years working onboard vessels undertaking marine survey operations
  • Experience leading small teams, vessel mobilisations, and calibrations
  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve, and troubleshoot data
  • Competent with GIS and spatial data, data management, and coordination skills
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills, and high level of computer literacy

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as 33 days of annual leave, pension matching, flexible working hours, and continuous training and development opportunities.
