Land Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Director to join our team at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for securing, maintaining, and managing robust land and property rights for our underground cables, overhead lines, and ground-mounted plant on both public and privately-owned land.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Devising consents strategies to ensure our capital investments projects are delivered on time, within budget, and sustainably.
  • Managing risk to future network security.
  • End-to-end management of compensation claims.
  • Experience of working with key stakeholders, such as landowners, tenants, and their agents, local authorities, national agencies, and the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit.
  • Sound knowledge of and application of land rights, planning processes, and environmental legislation.
Requirements:
  • A full, current driving license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
