Position Overview
The Technical Specialist role within the Paper and Packaging Technical division is both varied and engaging, offering essential technical support to our colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical aspects of the New Product Introduction process, guiding projects from laboratory development to machine trials, which includes collaborating with suppliers and conducting off-site product validation.
- Manage and prioritize daily laboratory operations to ensure top-notch service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders, including liaising with external testing facilities.
- Provide operational assistance to the Paper division, focusing on mill chemistry, troubleshooting, and maintaining essential documentation such as CoSHH.
- Conduct technical investigations and generate detailed reports for research and development as well as process optimization.
Qualifications for Success
- A Bachelor's degree or HND in a scientific field, complemented by A Levels in Chemistry and Maths (or equivalent).
- Experience in a laboratory or operational setting is preferred.
- A self-driven individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of adapting within a collaborative team of technical experts.
