Criminal Lawyer

Sacco Mann is working with a national law firm with offices in the East Midlands, who are seeking a Criminal Fee Earner to join their Derby team.

The role has become available due to an upcoming retirement, and the firm is looking for an individual with strong criminal experience, preferably with Duty qualification.

The firm handles a range of criminal cases, from low-level theft to complex cases, and the successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain local and regional networks, as well as secure new business.

Responsibilities will include participating in the out-of-hours rota for Police Station attendance.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of post-qualification experience as a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, with a strong background in criminal law.

Advocacy skills are essential, as the successful candidate will be required to conduct their own advocacy at times.
