This role will be focused on leading and coaching people to adopt a positive safety culture, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills.

We are seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to manage day-to-day activities relating to health and safety management systems as well as environmental aspects. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing guidance across the business on health, safety, and environmental matters
  • Investigating accidents and near-misses
  • Ensuring site metrics and quality measures are up to date
  • Applying H&S, Environmental, and COSHH regulations throughout the site
  • Maintaining company HSE processes and systems
  • Updating procedures in line with changes in legislation
  • Conducting risk assessments and ensuring safe systems of work
  • Carrying out health, safety, and environmental inspections and reports
  • Monitoring contractor and sub-contractor activity and providing necessary training and guidelines

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Health & Safety roles within the manufacturing sector, with experience in managing environmental systems an advantage. They will also possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.

Benefits include 25 days annual leave, a contributory pension scheme, and other benefits. Salary is approximately £36,000 per annum (dependent on experience). This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your Health and Safety career within a well-established organisation.
