About the Role
The Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our Community Services team. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in providing medicines management support to designated community hospital wards and departments, as well as community teams. This will involve reviewing patients in their own homes and providing expert advice on medication therapy.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing medicines management support to community hospital wards and departments
- Reviewing patients in their own homes and providing expert advice on medication therapy
- Supporting the implementation of Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) at the Powys Teaching Health Board

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- A Master's degree (MPharm) or equivalent BPharm or BSc in Pharmacy
- Excellent understanding of pharmacy/medicines standards, legal requirements, and guidelines
- Awareness of implications of current developments in pharmacy practice and NHS Wales strategies/policies
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Desirable qualifications and experience include:
- Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, working towards the faculty framework
- Previous experience in undertaking audit and research
