About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Financial Risk Manager to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As a key member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in shaping, developing, and embedding our ESG reporting process strategy and risk framework across our core processes.

As an expert in sustainability and process improvement, you will work closely with various teams to understand, document, and assess data flows, risks, and controls in the production of ESG information. Your goal will be to ensure data reliability in the face of increasing regulation and stakeholder scrutiny.

This project-based role will focus on supporting our readiness for new regulations. You will be responsible for mapping end-to-end processes for multiple ESG KPIs and data points, providing exposure to various ESG and Finance areas.

Your Responsibilities

  • Partner with the business to review and document ESG core processes for capturing, calculating, producing, and reporting ESG-related information across different business units.
  • Identify and assess reporting risks and likely sources of misstatement for key ESG processes, along with the controls in place to mitigate those risks.
  • Test the design and operation of controls, and report on results using our Tesco testing methodology.
  • Promote process standardisation and efficiency across business units.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Change and technology team to improve or automate ESG reporting.

Requirements

  • A solid understanding of business processes, associated risks, and controls.
  • Practical experience in internal controls, including design, implementation, and testing.
  • Familiarity with ESG issues, such as key topics, regulatory landscapes, standards, etc.
  • Strong communication skills, including report writing, presentation, influencing, and relational skills.

What We Offer

Our compensation package includes:

  • An estimated salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, based on your expertise and experience.
  • Holiday starting at 25 days plus a personal day (plus Bank holidays).

  • 26 weeks maternity and adoption leave (after 1 year's service) at full pay, followed by 13 weeks of Statutory Maternity Pay or Statutory Adoption Pay.
