About the Role

As a Project Environment Specialist at BAM Nuttall, you will play a vital role in ensuring our projects meet regulatory requirements while adhering to our internal procedures and clients' needs.

Your Work Environment
  • This position requires candidates to be based in Peterhead, Scotland office for at least 3 days a week, with the remaining 2 days working from home.

Your Mission
  • You will lead on the environmental aspects of project delivery, including chairing project environmental meetings.
  • Attend project progress meetings, providing input, guidance, and reporting on environmental issues.
  • Interface with the Employer's Environmental Team to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Review employer-provided environmental documentation, prepare site-specific documentation, and maintain records.
  • Provide guidance and advice on environmental controls and laws to the project team.
  • Investigate any environmental incidents that occur on the project and lead the delivery of necessary incident reporting and lessons learned.
  • Manage other environmental staff, including Environmental Clerk of Works and ad hoc specialists.
  • Deliver all environmental consenting requirements as required by the contract.
  • Manage the delivery and reporting of project environmental KPIs.
  • Monitor and maintain the Project CEMP, ensuring continual improvement based on relevant environment standards, regulatory, project, and BAM Nuttall requirements.
  • Verify conformance of project systems and management plans with environmental standards, regulatory, and BAM Nuttall requirements.
  • Maintain a legal compliance matrix to ensure project teams are aware of and comply with all relevant environmental legislation.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on CEMP requirements.
  • Analyze environmental performance statistics, including inspection and audit, and monitor trends.
  • Support project-based audits as needed.
  • Guide managers in evaluating project vendors.
  • Develop and deliver local training activities, toolbox talks, etc., as required.
  • Maintain environmental databases/systems as needed.
  • Conduct regular site environmental inspections and audits.
  • Develop relationships with local stakeholders, environmental regulators, and supply chain specialists.
  • Work in accordance with and remain up-to-date with current established Company procedures and processes.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive:
