Class 1 HGV Driver

Wincanton is seeking a dedicated and experienced Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team for night shifts. You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to various destinations.

As a Class 1 HGV Driver, your primary responsibility will be to operate a box trailer vehicle, transporting caged or palletized products to distribution centers (RDCs) and retail stores. Your duties will encompass:

  • Safe Driving Practices: Adhering to strict safety protocols while operating the Class 1 HGV.
  • Delivery Excellence: Ensuring accurate and timely delivery of goods to designated locations, offloading products efficiently, and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Load Security: Properly securing all cargo within the trailer to prevent damage during transit.
  • Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during deliveries.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspecting the vehicle for defects and promptly reporting any concerns to the Transport Office.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £56,334.00 per annum
  • Nights Only Schedule: 48 hours per week with varying start times (typically between 10 to 12 hours per shift)
