A reputable family in Hawkley, Hampshire, is seeking an experienced and reliable Live-in Housekeeper/Cook to manage their household and assist with family cooking.
This is a full-time position commencing mid-September, with a week's handover alongside the current housekeeper.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for all housekeeping duties, including laundry, washing, ironing, wardrobe management, flower arranging, and liaising with contractors. They should be a confident cook who enjoys preparing meals and is happy to assist with family cooking.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Care of fine art, silver, and antiques
- Assistance with dog walking and feeding
- Some light garden duties, including watering of the Courtyard garden, Greenhouse veg garden, sweeping of the Courtyard garden, and entry porches
- Coverage/control of the main house, cottage, and dogs when the family travels
A confident driver is essential, as the role requires running errands, carrying out airport runs, and doing the food shopping. A car will be provided for work purposes.
The family has horses, ponies, and dogs, so it is essential that the candidate is comfortable around animals.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with occasional weekend assistance if the family is entertaining.
Accommodation:
A lovely two-bedroom cottage (utilities paid) is provided.
Salary:
The salary on offer is £40,000 gross per annum, depending on experience.
