About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Manager to join our Energy business unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing programmes, analysis of programmes, and communication within the team during the tender stage and as required by the construction manager during the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide programmes and analysis of programmes to support tender submissions
  • Communicate with the team to ensure effective programme management
  • Work closely with the construction manager to ensure programme delivery
  • Previous experience in a main contracting environment, ideally within overhead lines and/or underground cables is preferable
  • HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Competent in project management software; must be competent with Primavera P6
  • Extensive experience in programme and project management, project planning, including programme controls, project review, and cost and risk analysis
  • Understanding of the impact that commercial events and activities have on the baseline programme
  • Experience of working on multi-discipline civil infrastructure projects
  • Ability to build robust detailed tender programmes from bottom up
  • Experience of driving a pre-contract planning team
  • Experience of undertaking senior governance reviews

About Our Energy Business

We have extensive experience in upgrading and replacing energy networks, delivering asset management for major UK energy companies and network operators.

Our transmission and distribution services involve the upgrading and replacement of electricity assets both above and below ground. Within the electricity sector, we install and maintain assets, including excavation, laying, and jointing of cables, (fluid-filled and XLPE), substations, and overhead lines, new build, repair, and refurbishment services.
