About the Role

NFU Mutual is seeking a dedicated Information Risk Management Analyst to enhance our information security and data protection efforts across the organisation. This role is crucial in supporting our risk management strategies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through robust governance processes and embedding strong engagement within all areas of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate regular Management Information (MI) collation activities and contribute to the development of reports.
  • Update the information security charter, which details our key processes aligned to information security standards, and perform risk assessments on our data security inventories, where we map how our data and systems are managed.
  • Support policy and second-line assurance reviews to ensure robust information security governance.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness materials and activities on information security and data protection topics in creative and accessible ways.
  • Design and implement phishing simulations to educate and test employees on recognising and responding to phishing threats.
  • Provide general support to the Information Security workstream as required, including assisting in various projects and initiatives to uphold NFU Mutual's security standards.
About You

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to deliver consistent processes, as well as possess exceptional presentation and effective communication skills, crucial for clearly conveying complex information to diverse audiences. Strong stakeholder engagement abilities are essential, as you will frequently interact with various internal and external parties, building and maintaining productive relationships.

Adaptability is also key, enabling you to thrive in a dynamic environment and respond swiftly to changing priorities and challenges.

You'll also have:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar information security/data protection role or be degree qualified.
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and GDPR legislation and their practical application within a business context.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training materials and awareness activities.
  • An understanding of operating a policy compliance and exceptions framework in a second-line assurance function.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation).
