Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Memory and Wellbeing Specialist to join our team at Bridgnorth Hospital. The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week, providing support to patients diagnosed with behaviour and psychological symptoms of dementia and other mental health needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and lead therapy and activities within the ward setting to engage and stimulate patients.
- Work in partnership with ward staff to deliver solution-focused therapy and care.
- Undertake clinical activities relevant to the post and clinical area, including bloods, ECGs, and baseline observations.
- Provide support to patients and their families, promoting person-centered care and understanding of mental health in the elderly.

Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in a care-related subject or equivalent level of training and/or experience.
- Experience of working with older people diagnosed with dementia, delirium, or older mental health.
- Participation in ward-based therapy and activities.
- Experience in working within a ward environment.
- Knowledge of mental health in the elderly, person-centered care, and basic IT skills.
- Understanding of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Deprivation of Liberty Act.
- Understanding of child and adult safeguarding.
