At Spotify, we are seeking a talented Content Rights Attorney to join our Legal Licensing & BD Team. As a key member of our legal team, you will work closely with Business Affairs to negotiate and draft audiobook licenses with major and independent book publishers and provide day-to-day legal input on business and strategy related to our audiobook initiative.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing strategic, tactical legal advice related to audiobook rights in a creative, business-centric way.
  2. Supporting and advising our Business Affairs teams on legal audiobook licensing matters.
  3. Serving as Spotify's subject matter expert on the legal obligations related to audiobook content.
  4. Acting as the day-to-day legal support for Spotify's commercial relationship with top international book publishers.

About You:

  • You hold a Swedish or UK law degree and have at least 7 years of relevant experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel.
  • You possess excellent legal analytical skills and strong working knowledge of copyright law and legal issues relating to the audiobook space.
  • You have experience negotiating and drafting complex content licensing agreements between digital services and book publishers.
