**Job Title:** Statistics Professor

We are seeking an accomplished Statistics Professor to join our esteemed faculty at the Elizabeth School of London. As a Senior Lecturer in Statistics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic landscape of our institution.

The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral qualification in Statistics or a related field and have a minimum of 4 years' experience in teaching at the Higher Education level in the UK. They will also be proficient in utilising Blackboard/VLEs, MS Teams, and Zoom.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing leadership in the curriculum area, guiding and mentoring colleagues to ensure the highest standards in teaching and learning. You will also engage in advanced research activities, contribute to the academic profile of ESL, and participate in university/ESL research programs.

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality teaching and learning across a range of programs within a Higher Education setting, with a focus on Foundation year in Statistics.
  • Tutor students, offering tailored support to help them achieve their academic goals and progress positively.
  • Contribute actively to the development and continual improvement of courses, collaborating effectively with both staff and students.
  • Participate in the creation of module/unit-specific Scheme of Work.
  • Develop module materials for each of the modules being undertaken.
  • Provide/Deliver/Facilitate subject-specific sessions in line with the Learning Outcomes and syllabuses of modules.
  • Deploy assessments appropriately as outlined by the assessment team.
  • Establish measures to understand the learning needs of students on their modules.
  • Support students with timely formative feedback as prescribed by each of the program specifications.
  • Mark and provide summative feedback within the prescribed deadline set by the Assessment Team.
