We are offering a competitive salary of £90,000 - £125,000 per annum for this Regulatory Business Consultant position.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Regulatory Business Consultant and work with a leading global hedge fund. As a key member of the compliance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm's trading operations comply with regulatory requirements.

Your primary responsibility will be to understand regulatory requirements, analyse their impact on trading operations, and develop business solutions to ensure full compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Frameworks: Monitor and interpret relevant financial regulations (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, GDPR) and translate these into actionable business requirements for the fund.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with trading, risk, compliance, and technology teams to assess current compliance processes, identify gaps, and suggest improvements.
  • Compliance Reporting: Develop compliance reports, conduct data analysis to ensure the firm's trading strategies adhere to regulatory frameworks, and flag potential risks.
  • Project Management: Lead and participate in compliance-related projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of solutions that align with regulatory mandates.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or business analyst role within financial services, preferably in a hedge fund, asset management, or trading environment.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, and/or GDPR, and their application within a trading environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets and varied asset classes.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the capability to lead and manage complex projects from inception to completion.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in handling large data sets. Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python) is a plus.
