About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Buildings and Places business line. As a critical infrastructure expert, you will be involved in a key infrastructure project, combining elements of new build construction and civils infrastructure.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and taking ownership of all aspects of the project, proactively engaging with the client, construction, and design team to drive the project forward.

You will be required to prepare succinct and accurate reports that look forward and identify clear actions and recommendations.

When managing a contract, you will be required to positively engage with the construction and design team and work collaboratively to address risks and avoid claims and disputes whilst maintaining meticulous records to allow you to quickly respond to issues arising and form an informed and balanced opinion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Development and delivery of business cases
  • Client-side project management, including stakeholder, schedule, and NEC4 contract management
  • Provide strategic advice on project challenges to support the client achieving their goals
  • Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of the project
  • Preparing and maintaining schedules, including dependencies and resources
  • Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities
  • Quality management processes for project activities and outputs
  • Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
  • Establishing and maintaining project governance reviews
  • Developing and managing teams
  • Managing suppliers
  • Ensure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time
  • Strong relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross-functional team
