Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage programme budgets, ensuring that they are aligned with organisational goals and donor requirements.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring that they are accurate and compliant with donor and internal standards.
  • Manage financial aspects of partner grant agreements, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, policies, and financial regulations.
  • Provide financial oversight and capacity-building support to local partners, enhancing their ability to manage funds and comply with financial guidelines.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks within programme operations, working closely with programme managers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) are highly desirable.
  • At least five years of experience in finance management, preferably within the nonprofit, international development, or charitable sectors.
  • Experience in budget management, financial analysis, and grant compliance, particularly with institutional donors (e.g., USAID, DFID, EU).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build financial capacity in partner organisations.
