Reed Finance is partnering with a public sector client in Leeds to find a Financial Business Partner. This role involves providing financial information, tools, analysis, and insight to colleagues across the organisation, challenging their thinking, and helping them make informed decisions. The successful candidate will report to a Senior Finance Business Partner and be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  1. Providing analysis and insight that reflects business performance.
  2. Evidencing and presenting sound interpretations of the financial implications of achieving organisational outcomes.
  3. Exploring future financial opportunities through scenario planning and business cases.
  4. Building strong partnerships with Directorates that support financial accountability and clear control over the financial levers of organisational performance.
  5. Providing financial advice, including the allocation of resources and how short to medium term objectives can be aligned and affordable within available resources.
  6. Financial evaluation of options for implementing plans to best achieve desired outcomes.
  7. Leading the monthly management accounts, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting process, ensuring clear links are made to the business planning process, and resources are focused on driving performance.
  8. Monitoring and providing insight and advice on the financial performance of a complex portfolio of funding programmes.
  9. Providing expertise and advice on financial matters to drive performance.
Requirements
  1. CCAB part-qualified or qualified (CIPFA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, ICAI).
  2. Experience of making compelling business cases/reports to a range of audiences.
  3. Extensive experience of managing complex financial processes with multiple stakeholders.
