Job Title: Health, Safety and Environmental Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join our team at Warburtons. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will be responsible for promoting and strengthening our existing health and safety culture.

As a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring site progress in line with the national safety agenda, measured by a combination of KPI's, internal/external audits, and project completion. You will also be responsible for the line management and development of a team of HSE Advisors based at the different locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  2. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  3. Provide training and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures and best practices.
  4. Collaborate with the site leadership team to develop and implement site-specific health, safety, and environmental plans.
  5. Monitor and report on health, safety, and environmental performance metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Health & Safety Manager role, ideally within a manufacturing environment (FMCG).
  • Proven ability to make significant decisions in a timely manner, challenging when appropriate.
  • Experience of delegating and inspiring others to take responsibility for HS&E.
  • Evidence of improving the safety culture through recognised channels.
  • Understanding of all aspects of Health, Safety & Environment (including legislation, audit handling, and management systems).
