We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Assistant Building Surveyor to join our Cornwall office. As a key member of our Building Surveying team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our organization.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to kickstart their career in Building Surveying. As an Assistant Building Surveyor, you will work closely with our experienced team members to deliver innovative solutions and drive successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of experienced professionals to deliver innovative solutions and drive successful project outcomes.
  • Assist BS team members of varying experience levels.
  • Working in the office and on site.
  • Provide support to experienced BS staff to enable various building-related problems to be solved.
  • Assist with the production of documentation (reports, specifications, tenders etc).
  • Contract administration, valuation and certification including chairing meetings with associated document preparation.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets and resources effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, contractors and regulatory authorities.
  • Inspect buildings to assess condition and recommend actions.

Requirements

  • Keen interest in BS in the construction industry.
  • Great communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Keen to begin APC journey.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
