Senior Waste Management Coordinator

Job Purpose
As a key member of the East Ayrshire Council team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient collection and disposal of refuse and recyclable materials. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth delivery of waste management services, aligning with the council's objectives for waste reduction and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate refuse collection teams to achieve optimal delivery and efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement waste management strategies.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of waste management equipment and vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
Requirements

Work Environment and Conditions
This is a full-time permanent position with a weekly working pattern of 35 hours. The workstyle for this post is 'Flexible', with 50-79% of time spent in the office or at other work locations. You will be expected to work at different locations, including occasional home working or direct travel to external appointments.
