Senior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects of national importance, working closely with our clients, stakeholders, and colleagues from other disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- A leader who empowers and inspires others to deliver successful outcomes
- A collaborative team manager who works with the whole project team to develop objectives and agree ways of working
- Experienced in managing contracts, ensuring compliance with contract terms
- Capable of managing design teams and design processes against agreed delivery timescales
- Monitors progress against schedules, manages resources against baselines, and identifies variances requiring action
- Monitors financial performance throughout the project/programme and prepares reports for stakeholders
- Prepares Risk Management plans and processes to identify threats and opportunities, assessing impacts and developing suitable response plans
- Manages consistent application of quality assurance processes and standards
- Establishes and maintains governance structures that define clear roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities for governance
- Develops and disseminates stakeholder management and communications plans to meet project/programme objectives
- Establishes and manages review points to inform governance and evaluate progress
- Manages change control processes in line with contract conditions
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing projects and programmes for local/central government bodies or other significant public sector clients
- Willingness to travel
- Chartered Project Professional (APM), equivalent, or working towards
- PMQ Accredited
- NEC 3/4 accredited preferably
- Suitable for security clearance, SC or DV Cleared preferably
- Strong communication skills, including ability to work with senior client representatives
- Collaborative approach, managing large technical multi-disciplinary teams, and working with partnering customers
- Keen interest in developing skills in scheduling management
- Proven ability to deliver to deadlines
- Able to work collaboratively with clients to deliver results
- Professional and ethical in all actions
- Able to identify and develop phased approaches to delivery, working collaboratively with clients to understand and agree project requirements
- Determined approach to delivery
- Good practical application of Microsoft Software, including Project, Excel, and Word
- Ability to prepare and implement a range of project tools, including programmes, risk registers, stakeholder management plans, project execution plans, and quality assurance plans
- Driving licence essential
