Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Market Drayton, Shropshire. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for providing front-line maintenance support to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support to the shift operations team to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Conduct regular PPM and scheduled maintenance to prevent downtime and improve efficiency.
  • Dismantle and reassemble production equipment as required.
  • Perform electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Proven track record of electrical fault finding and knowledge of PLCs.
  • Experience working in a food/FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement mentality.
  • Recognized apprenticeship to ONC/HNC level.
