We're currently recruiting a History Teacher to work in an excellent secondary school in Preston. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to take on a challenging and rewarding role, working with students who are eager to learn and grow.

As a History Teacher at Vision for Education, you'll have the chance to inspire and motivate your students, helping them develop a deeper understanding of the subject and its relevance to their lives. You'll be part of a supportive and friendly Humanities department, working closely with colleagues who share your passion for teaching and learning.

The ideal candidate will have QTS and experience teaching History in Secondary schools. They'll be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons, using a range of techniques to meet the needs of all learners. Salary
As a History Teacher with Vision for Education, you can expect a competitive daily rate, paid through PAYE. This is based on your scale rate, experience in the role, and qualifications, which will be discussed during registration. We also offer a guaranteed pay scheme, subject to availability, as well as access to a dedicated consultant who can provide support and guidance throughout your time with us.

Job Description
This role will start in February 2025 and will initially run until July 2025, with the possibility of extending into a permanent contract from September 2025. As a History Teacher, you'll be responsible for teaching students aged [age range], planning and delivering engaging lessons, and assessing student progress. You'll also be required to cover some Key stage 3 RE classes, although experience teaching these subjects isn't essential as work will be set.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching History in Secondary schools. You should also have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of Subject specialists, and be able to plan and deliver inspiring lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
