We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Clinical Data Systems team at the Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU). As the Head of Clinical Data Systems, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and management of our Clinical Data Systems, ensuring the effective development, conduct, management, and delivery of high-quality electronic data capture (EDC) systems to support our College-wide portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Clinical Data Systems team to deliver the ICTU trial portfolio and the wider College research community.
- Develop and implement EDC systems to meet the needs of our researchers.
- Manage the EDC systems implemented for College researchers, ensuring they are cost-effective and delivered within budget and to time.
- Advise on the purchase and installation of new modules/versions, maintenance of a realistic and transparent costing tool, and appropriate costing levels.
- A degree or equivalent in computer science or a relevant subject and/or relevant experience.
- Professional knowledge of Clinical Data Management and Electronic Data Capture acquired through a degree or equivalent and supplemented by specialist training and management qualification/or relevant experience.
- Experience of successful financial management, including an understanding of FEC costing.
- Knowledge of the research governance, regulatory, and legislative framework for EDC systems supporting clinical trials and clinical data management, including ICH-GCP.
- Proven experience in validation of computerised systems.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Proven leadership and management skills at a senior level, including ability to provide leadership in the management of change.
The Imperial Clinical Trials Unit (ICTU) is a UKCRC-registered clinical trials unit that brings together academic, clinical, and trial management expertise from across Imperial College London and the Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre (IC AHSC) to deliver world-class clinical trials of all phases and designs.
This post is full-time and open-ended, based at Stadium House, Wood Lane, close to Wood Lane and White City tube stations.
