Job Overview

This Teaching Assistant role is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) to reach their full potential.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted learning and care support to pupils with SEN.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement individualised education, support, and care plans.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, promoting high self-esteem, independence, and social inclusion.

Detailed Job Description:

  • Assist with the development and delivery of individualised education, support, and care plans.
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional, and mental health needs, escalating concerns where necessary.
  • Contribute to the planning of differentiated learning activities, delivering activities inside or outside the classroom.
  • Support the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aimed at helping pupils achieve their full potential in all areas of learning.

Key Requirements:

  • GCSEs including English and Maths at grade 4 (or equivalent previously grade C) or above.
  • First aid training (or willingness to complete it soon after employment commences).
  • Experience working in a school environment or other educational setting.
  • Experience working with children / young people with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Experience planning and delivering learning activities.

Salary: £24,000 per annum
