About the Role

KPMG-UnitedKingdom is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pensions actuarial professional to join our team. As a Public Services Pensions Advisory Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality actuarial pensions advice to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver strategic actuarial pensions advice to clients, focusing on defined benefit pension schemes in the public sector and private sector.
  • Work closely with senior team members to provide comprehensive advice on pension due diligence, member education, and communication.
  • Develop and maintain technical actuarial knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality actuarial work, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support the development of specialist technical knowledge and maintain regular communication with the team.
Requirements
  • Experience in pensions actuarial at an employee benefit consultancy or Big 4 firm.
  • Basic knowledge of defined benefit pension scheme valuations, roll forward methodologies, and actuarial techniques.
  • Understanding of the wider UK pensions landscape.
  • IT literacy with sound knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Desirable Qualifications
  • Part-qualified actuary having passed some FIA exams (or equivalent).
