We are seeking an experienced Production Shift Manager to join our client's team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a key member of the operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of production staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management
- Manage and supervise the activities of production staff and additional functions.
- Oversee day-to-day operations within operations, goods in, despatch, planning, and asset care.
- Team Management
- Manage and motivate teams to ensure daily production and KPIs are achieved.
- Develop and implement plans to improve performance using Continuous Improvement techniques.
- Health and Safety
- Promote a good health and safety culture within the factory.
- Ensure all staff are compliant with safety procedures and follow up on non-compliant issues.
- Reporting and Communication
- Prepare reports and present to management and senior leadership teams.
- Develop and maintain positive relations with internal and external customers.
- Recruitment and Training
- Oversee recruitment and training of new staff.
- Develop and maintain skill matrices and training plans.
Requirements
- A strong understanding of manufacturing industry practices and procedures.
- Proven experience in managing teams in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Ability to work night shifts and manage a team effectively during these hours.
