Job Description

West Cornwall Women's Aid is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Head of Operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to women and children who have experienced domestic abuse and/or sexual violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and management to the operational teams, ensuring the effective delivery of services and the achievement of organisational goals.
  • Service Development: Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and other senior managers to develop and implement new services and initiatives that meet the needs of our service users.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all services are delivered to a high standard, meeting the needs of our service users and the requirements of funders and regulatory bodies.
  • Staff Management: Line manage and supervise operational managers, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and resources needed to deliver high-quality services.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including service users, funders, and partner agencies, to ensure that our services are responsive to the needs of the community.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience of working in a senior management role, preferably in a charity or voluntary sector organisation.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to deliver high-quality services.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the charity sector, including the principles of good governance, fundraising, and service delivery.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and service users.
