Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our community learning disability team. As a developmental post, you will have the chance to work towards achieving the competencies of a Band 8A Clinical Psychologist.

You will be working with a team that provides a range of assessments, interventions, and support to individuals with complex mental health needs and their families.

  • To provide high-quality psychology provision to people with a learning disability and complex mental health needs, working within community settings in the Dudley locality.
  • To offer advice, specialist psychological assessment/intervention, and consultation and supervision to clients and their systemic support networks.
  • Liaise with psychology colleagues, non-psychology colleagues, external agencies, and other non-professional carers regarding clients' psychological support needs.
  • To utilise doctoral-level research skills for audit, policy, and service development and research, supervising research carried out by Assistant and Trainee Psychologists.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Postgraduate training in Clinical Psychology
  • Experience: Working with a learning disability population, assessment, formulation, and intervention
  • Knowledge: Range of evidenced-based therapeutic interventions
