Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Data Centre specialist team within the Hydrock MEP division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and planning data centre mechanical systems, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.

You will collaborate with senior engineers to contribute to mechanical design, assist in project management tasks, conduct technical analyses, and perform quality control checks.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Planning: Collaborate with senior engineers to contribute to the mechanical design of data centres.
  • Project Support: Assist in project management tasks, such as creating project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct technical analyses, calculations, and simulations to optimize data center performance and energy efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality control checks to ensure that all mechanical systems meet industry standards and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Relevant mechanical engineering qualification at HNC, HND, Bachelors or Masters level.
  • Sound knowledge of BIM processes, Review, IES and other design software.
  • Working knowledge of current building regulations with a strong understanding and passion to apply sustainable design principles.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong track record of client engagement, project management, and training junior members within the data centre industry.

Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
