Academic Support Educator

We are recruiting for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work in our PRU setting in Billingham. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of pupils with challenging behaviour and varying Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Your primary responsibilities will include building positive relationships with pupils and staff, developing an understanding of pupil needs and learning styles, and planning and leading intervention sessions to boost pupil progress.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Holding a HLTA or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- Experience of working with children in schools in the UK
- Desirable: experience within an SEN school or PRU setting
- An ability to build positive relationships and rapport with pupils and staff
- A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
- Holding a Right to Work in the UK
- Holding an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or being willing to process a new application
- Providing two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
Salary Information: The salary for this position is between £95-110 per day, paid on a full-time basis.
