About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated SEN Teacher to join our team at Academics Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic support to students with Autism and Asperger's Syndrome in a specialist environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to curriculum delivery, ensuring students' educational, physical, and social needs are met.
  2. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive learning environment.
  3. Develop and maintain short-term, medium-term, and long-term plans to meet students' needs.
  4. Set, monitor, and review personalised targets to enhance student learning.
  5. Regularly monitor, assess, review, and report on students' progress to stakeholders.
  6. Pursue ongoing training and research to maintain expertise in SEN education.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is estimated to be between £35,000 and £55,000 per annum, plus MPS/UPS + SEN allowance + £5000 joining bonus.

Requirements:

  • Hold a PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification and demonstrate in-service training.
  • Have relevant knowledge and experience of working with students with ASD, SEMH, and PDA profile.
  • Understand Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Demonstrate experience in managing various approaches to behaviour, including challenging behaviours.
  • Exhibit a positive, proactive attitude towards supporting students with SEN.
