Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Manager to lead our Divisional Finance operation. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial advice to our Managing Director and Management Team, and contributing to wider business issues.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial accounting, with experience in managing budgets and cost control. They will also possess excellent IT and financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and assess impacts on the business.

As a team leader, you will be responsible for managing, coaching, and developing a team of finance professionals to achieve their full potential. You will also be expected to promote and act in accordance with our Group values, systems, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Divisional Finance operation, providing financial advice to the MD and Management Team.
  • Manage budgets and cost control, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial plans and strategies to support business growth and success.
  • Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, providing coaching and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and statutory guidelines, including Health and Safety obligations.
Requirements
  • Professionally qualified accountant with considerable post-qualification experience in a senior commercial accounting role.
  • Strong IT and financial analysis skills, with the ability to interpret data and assess impacts on the business.
  • Experience of managing budgets and cost control, with a proven track record of delivering financial results.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of finance professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
