Art Education Specialist

Teaching Personnel, a renowned education specialist, is seeking an accomplished Art Teacher to join their team. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated educator with a passion for Special Educational Needs (SEN) to make a significant impact in a supportive environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging Art lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of SEN students across various age groups. They will also lead initiatives to enrich the Art curriculum, ensuring it is accessible and inclusive for all students.
We are looking for an experienced Art educator who possesses a strong background in teaching SEN students and adapting their methods to meet varied needs. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.

Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Design and deliver high-quality Art lessons that cater to the diverse needs of SEN students.
- Leadership Role: Lead and develop Art curriculum initiatives, collaborating with other departments to create cross-curricular opportunities.
- Student Progress Monitoring: Assess, track, and report on student progress, setting personalized goals to help each student achieve their best.
- Classroom Environment: Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom atmosphere where students feel valued and confident in their artistic abilities.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEN education and Art pedagogy.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Art education.
- Proven experience in working with SEN students and adapting teaching methods to meet varied needs.
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging Art lessons that are accessible, innovative, and aligned with individual education plans.
- Experience or interest in curriculum leadership, with a commitment to enhancing the Art department's offerings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and families.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a strong commitment to inclusive education and the mission of Teaching Personnel.
Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
