Job Role Overview

At Sodexo, we're committed to delivering exceptional service and quality in all aspects of our operations. As a Building Maintenance Electrician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our facilities are safe, fully operational, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform routine preventive and reactive electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to electrical systems and equipment.
  2. Install and maintain electrical systems and equipment in accordance with safety standards, ensuring compliance with BS 7671.
  3. Conduct Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and general building maintenance duties, including plumbing and joinery.
  4. Ensure the external grounds and facilities are well-maintained to a high standard.
  5. Supervise specialist subcontractors as necessary and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
  6. Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, ensuring accurate documentation of all work completed.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
  • 8th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) knowledge.
  • Understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
  • Recognised Electrical Modern Apprenticeship or relevant experience.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work certification.
  • Portable Appliance Testing certification (City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent).
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in plumbing, joinery, or general maintenance.
  • Full, clean UK driving license.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and guidance.
  • Proven experience in electrical, plumbing, joinery, and general building maintenance.
  • Familiarity with working in a facilities management or multi-disciplinary environment.
